According to information disclosed at the MSPO 2025 defense exhibition in Poland, Ukraine has already produced 345 units of the 155mm Bohdana self-propelled howitzer. This figure is hardly surprising, given the current production rate of nearly 30 units per month.
The same source reported that almost 100 Bohdana-B towed howitzers have also been built. This is a significant achievement, considering that serial production began only recently — in early July, the number of deliveries was reported at just five units.

As Defense Express notes, this represents major progress for Ukraine's defense industry and highlights its growing industrial potential. Such output makes it entirely realistic for Ukraine to independently meet a substantial share of its Defense Forces' artillery requirements, provided that funding remains available.
At MSPO 2025, the Bohdana was showcased in a new configuration featuring a domestically designed cab mounted on a Tatra chassis. Its appearance somewhat resembles the Czech Puma, although similar layouts are common among wheeled self-propelled artillery systems.

This version had already been spotted with Ukraine's Defense Forces as early as spring 2025. It is highly likely that this represents the latest iteration now being supplied to the military.
The Kramatorsk Heavy Machine Tool Plant, part of the NAUDI holding, is the lead developer and manufacturer of Ukraine's 155mm artillery systems. Other domestic and foreign companies — including Ukrainian Armor — are also involved in the program.

For security reasons, production is currently dispersed across multiple facilities in Ukraine, with some components manufactured abroad. However, the long-term plan is to consolidate the entire production process within the country.
While the Bohdana has not yet become the primary self-propelled artillery system of the Defense Forces, the rapid increase in output suggests that achieving this status is only a matter of time — once again, depending on available funding.
