Ukrainian state gas operator "Ukrtransgaz" JSC has told on its Facebook page that one of its affiliates made up a "self-propelled howitzer" by putting together an MT-LB tracked vehicle and an MT-12 Rapira 100-mm towed anti-tank gun.
The request came from the troops of a local Territorial Defense unit. The details were not disclosed.

The gas company’s press center in a few words said six artisans worked on this vehicle for two weeks. Also, a group of additional "specialists from a profile university" were involved, who gave instructions on how to change the firing angle of the Rapira gun and increase the range by 2-3 km.
The authors of the report say the vehicle has already passed all the required tests and will soon be deployed "to the frontline near the russian border". They also mentioned they received another two orders for such "improvised self-propelled guns".
This is the third case when an MT-12 gun is used that way. The first one was shown by the troops of the "Kraken" special operations unit in August this year, as in the photo above. It was basically a "tracked trolley", and there was practically no space for the crew to fit inside. The second such vehicle with similar flaws was shown by the troops of the 59th Mechanized Brigade the same month.
Apparently, the creators of the new "modification" have considered all the issues and made it so it has a place for the operators, however, the protection is not so impressive.
