On May 18, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense unveiled the domestically produced Vyrivnyuvach glide bomb kit. A month later, at the Eurosatory exhibition, it was reported that the system had already been used in combat

The Ukrainian Vyrivnyuvach glide bomb kit is already in active mass production. The first units have reportedly already been delivered to the military and used in combat.

During the Eurosatory 2026 defense exhibition in Paris, representatives of the manufacturer DG Industries shared this information with observer Jeff21461. Earlier, photos of the bomb kit were published from the same event, which Defense Express analyzed in more detail here.

Vyrivnyuvach was unveiled on May 18 in a statement by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense. The statement noted that development took 17 months and that the first experimental batch had already been procured for military pilot training.

This creates a discrepancy with the statement made at the exhibition, which reported its use in combat. Perhaps this referred to its use during combat trials, which may have been conducted while the bomb kit was being finalized and standardized.

In any case, this means that Vyrivnyuvach has most likely already been deployed on the front lines. Therefore, the weapon has already been tested not only under test range conditions but also in real-world use and can be actively deployed.

It is noted that the number of Ukrainian airstrikes depends not only on the availability of the necessary weapons. It is also important to have a sufficient number of combat-ready aircraft and personnel, such as pilots and technicians.

It is also important to note that the stated maximum range of 140 km is achieved only when released from very high altitude, which is often avoided due to the threat from russian aircraft and long-range air defenses. Therefore, in practice, they will be used at other distances.

Other projects involving extended-range guided bombs are also underway in Ukraine. Most recently, BlueBird Tech announced its own development, mentioning rocket engineering in the process, which may indicate that the bomb uses a rocket engine.
