During Eurosatory 2026 arms exhibition in Paris, Ukrainian NUMO Robotics gave visitors opportunity to control its flagship NUMO UGV, 600 of which were delivered to military last year. Nuance is that drone itself was located at training range in Ukraine 1,500 km from controller.
Company explains they wanted not only to show demo video with drone presentation but also give opportunity to try controlling unmanned system independently. Wi-Fi and Starlink were used for communications.

So visitors had no doubts, control camera was installed at training range in Ukraine. Thus one could see UGV movement not only from controller but also on additional screen.
NUMO Robotics says over 200 people tried themselves as ground drone operator during first two exhibition days, among whom was French Armed Forces and Veterans Minister Catherine Vautrin. It is noted that thanks to one guest's social media publication, number of interested only continued growing.

Currently thanks to its availability and versatility, Starlink remains most popular solution for Ukrainian UGV communications. It enables long-distance control, including at 1,500 km, although such distances are usually not encountered in practical application.
Regarding drone itself, this involves NUMO with tracked chassis, payload capacity up to 300 kg at 620 kg total mass, range up to 45 km and maximum movement speed up to 10 km/h. Deployment requires 10 minutes.

NUMO Robotics development base communications is Wi-Fi operating at up to 1.5 km distance. While there are also 5 optional variants, among which Starlink and LTE. It is noted approximately 600 such UGVs were manufactured and transferred for Defense Forces needs in 2025. Offered as logistics, engineering and combat platform.
