​Ukraine Strikes russian Oil Refinery and Drone Base of the Rubicon Unit in Samara and Donetsk Regions

The Defense Forces of Ukraine carried out precision strikes on russian military and industrial targets

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Novokuybyshev oil refinery in the Samara region of the russian federation has been hit by Ukrainian forces. The refinery is one of the largest in russia, with an annual capacity of around nine million tons of oil. Explosions and fires have been reported in the area near the refinery. The extent and nature of the damage are being assessed.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian forces destroyed a drone storage base and a fuel and lubricant pumping station belonging to the Rubicon Center for Advanced Unmanned Technologies in temporarily occupied Donetsk Oblast.

The General Staff also provided updated information on the consequences of the previous strike on the Ryazan oil refinery. Damage was caused to the ELOU-AVT-4 and ELOU-AVT-6 crude oil distillation unit, fuel tank equipment, and the pipeline trestle.

According to the report, Ukrainian forces will continue actions aimed at reducing russian military capabilities and ending hostilities.

Earlier Defense Express reported that blast on the Trans-Siberian line had interrupted flow of North Korean munitions.
