​UK Defense Intelligence: British Forces Downs Iranian Drones, Deploys HMS Dragon and Air Defense Systems

British forces sustained overnight operations, intercepting two Iranian drones while reinforcing regional defenses with naval and missile deployments

Royal Air Force Typhoon and F-35 jets continued their defensive missions overnight, including over Cyprus, Jordan, Qatar, and Bahrain, according to the UK Defense Intelligence

A UK ground-based counter-drone unit, operating in a high-threat area, successfully downed two Iranian drones overnight.

HMS Dragon has now arrived in the Eastern Mediterranean and will begin operational integration into Cyprus's defenses, alongside allies.

We are working with industry to distribute air defense missiles to Gulf partners. UK is deploying Rapid Sentry, a ground-based air defense missile system, to Kuwait and will soon deploy Lightweight Multiple Launchers to Bahrain, including with training.

As Defense Express previously reported, British fighter jets continued overnight defensive missions while a ground-based unit successfully intercepted an Iranian UAV in a high-threat area.
