Ancient Vietnam-era T-62's and obsolete T-80's which are being taken from storage shatter to pieces the myth of russian military mightiness. High losses force the enemy to use literally anything they have on stock. Inability to capture Kharkiv drove them mad and now the city faces harsh shelling. Tense situation remains in the east: the enemy's plans to encircle Special Forces Operation units remain. Success completely depends on who will replenish losses faster: either Ukraine with moderate quantity of western armament or russia with own mountains of obsolete armor. Thus, they took to Kherson all the convicts and staff from the correctional colony № 10 in the temporarily occupied village of Darʼivka, Kherson oblast. Currently, the colony is used by the Russians as the residence of army personnel, and military equipment is also on the territory.

In the village of Shevchenkove, Kharkiv oblast, the Russian military is asking at a local bazaar where Ukrainian ammunition can be purchased. They want to carry out a "self-infliction", pretending to have a combat wound, in order to return home.

Disappearances have become more frequent in Kupyansk, Velykyi Burluk, Shevchenkivske, and Izyum in Kharkiv oblast. Most often it is men from 18 to 60 years and young women. The disappearances are linked to the "work" of Russian special services in the occupied part of the oblast.

17:00 In the skies of Kherson oblast, a Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter shot down a Russian Su-35 fighter jet, which was hunting for Ukrainian assault aircraft.

09:15 UK Ministry of Defense: Russian forces surround Severodonetsk and Lyschansk.

Russian ground forces are continuing their attempt to surround Severodonetsk and Lyschansk, having recently captured several villages north-west of Popasna, the UK ministry of defense has said in its latest report, The Guardian reports

The report states the next:

Russia is pressuring the Severodonetsk pocket although Ukraine retains control of multiple defended sectors, denying Russia full control of the Donbas.

Russia’s Southern Grouping of Forces (SGF) likely remains tasked with occupying southern Ukrainian territory. In recent days, Russia has likely moved 50-year-old T-62 tanks from deep storage into the SGF’s area of responsibility.

The T-62s will almost certainly be particularly vulnerable to anti-tank weapons and their presence on the battlefield highlights Russia’s shortage of modern, combat-ready equipment.”

07:30 President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky accuses Moscow of carrying out a ‘genocide’ in Donbas.

Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelenskiy has accused Moscow of carrying out a “genocide” in the eastern region of Donbas, where the city of Sievierodonetsk is suffering an onslaught of Russian shelling, The Guardian reports.

Zelenskiy said Russia’s brutal assault on the Donbas could leave the entire region “uninhabited” during his latest national address.

The current offensive of the occupiers in Donbas can make the region uninhabited.

They want to burn Popasna, Bakhmut, Lyman, Lysychansk and Sievierodonetsk to ashes. Like Volnovakha, like Mariupol. In cities and communities closer to the Russian border, in Donetsk and Luhansk, they gather everyone they can to fill the place of those killed and wounded in the occupation contingent.

All this, including the deportation of our people and the mass killings of civilians, is an obvious policy of genocide pursued by Russia.”
