Canadian manufacturer Roshel not only supplies Senator MRAP vehicles to Ukraine's Armed Forces, but has also established assembly operations in Ukraine. Beyond vehicle assembly, Roshel is also working to localize the production of key components in Ukraine.
The company representatives told observer Jeff21461 about this at the Eurosatory 2026 defense exhibition in Paris. They also clarified that a recent Canadian military aid package includes 383 armored vehicles, of which 100 are medical variants, 82 command variants, and 201 personnel carriers.

From Defense Express we would like to note that localization limited to vehicle assembly provides greater control, creates jobs, and allows for independent maintenance capabilities. However, this still delivers limited economic and technological benefits.
Therefore, localizing component production helps strengthen the industry and support similar future projects. It is worth noting that Ukraine already has armored vehicle production facilities, making it possible to work with suppliers already involved in armored vehicle manufacturing.

It would be interesting to explore the possibility of incorporating chassis components, given that the Senator MRAP uses the American Ford 550, which also serves as the basis for the Novator, Kozak-5, and Kozak-7. However, it remains unclear how feasible this is, given the stance of the U.S. manufacturer of the pickup platform.
As of early December 2025, Ukraine had received more than 2,000 armored vehicles from Roshel. According to a recent company announcement, that figure had surpassed 2,500 units by June 2026, indicating a rapid pace of deliveries.

The Ukrainian military has been receiving Senator vehicles since 2022, but initially these were APC models, which were not designed for combat operations. Based on this experience, the Senator MRAP was subsequently introduced and is now the main model delivered to the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
Beyond Ukraine, Canadian armored vehicles are being supplied to police and military forces in various countries around the world. Haiti was among them, receiving the Senator RAM MRAP, which was brand new at the time.
