Ukrainian Linza 3.0 multifunctional UAVs have already started to roll off the assembly line in Germany, which is a successful example of the development of Ukrainian-German partnership as well as the implementation of mutually beneficial projects

Quantum Frontline Industries has released the first Ukrainian Linza 3.0 multifunctional UAV at production facilities in Germany. By the end of this year, the company will transfer 10 thousand UAVs to the Defense Forces of Ukrsine.

According to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, ten more joint ventures for the production of Ukrainian drones will be opened this year.

In view of this, it is worth investigating how the localization process took place in this case, as less than two months have passed since the announcement of plans to organize joint production to the first result.

In April 2025, the German Quantum Systems signed a memorandum of strategic partnership with the Ukrainian Frontline Robotics. The latter company is a developer and manufacturer of such UAVs as the Linza bomber drones, Zoom reconnaissance UAVs, as well as the Burya robotic turrets.

After that, in the summer of 2025, a message appeared that Quantum Systems would become a strategic investor in Frontline Robotics. It was about obtaining a 10% stake with the possibility of increasing it to 25% within 12 months. Back then, it was stated that this would lay the foundation for further cooperation and partnership.

In December 2025, it became known that the companies had created a joint venture, Quantum Frontline Industries, which would manufacture drones in Germany. This decision was supposed to help scale Ukrainian solutions using German automation experience.

The first UAV produced in Germany was presented on February 13, 2026 – that is, less than two months after the announcement of the start of production. Although the preparatory work had been underway since April 2025 (about 10 months), such a pace is still very impressive.

The Ukrainian company Frontline Robotics was to provide Quantum Frontline Industries with a production license and organize personnel training. Quantum Systems, in turn, provided industrial infrastructure and administrative support.

The implementation of this project is taking place within the framework of the Build with Ukraine initiative, which is aimed at production of Ukrainian weapons in Europe. Relevant agreements were reached with a number of countries, including Denmark, Norway, Germany, Great Britain and Lithuania.

It should be noted that the German company Quantum Systems does indeed have significant experience, as it supplies its Vector reconnaissance UAVs to Ukraine, as well as a variant of this drone called Falke for Bundeswehr. Most likely, this is what made it possible to significantly reduce the time until the start of production of the new unmanned aircraft system in Germany.

It is also worth mentioning that in early February 2026, Quantum Systems acquired the German Hacker Motor GmbH, which manufactures electric motors for drones. This purchase was presented as one of the key elements in cooperation with the Ukrainian Frontline Robotics.

Such cooperation is a successful example of the deployment of a joint venture abroad with the participation of Ukrainian companies to meet the needs of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, when the strengths of both partners are used. It is quite likely that the deployment of at least some of the 10 future joint productions announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will follow a similar scenario.
