RAF Typhoons and F-35 jets, Royal Navy warships and helicopters, and British Army air defense units are operating as a single network, with HMS Dragon now fully integrated and counter-drone teams downing seven attack UAVs overnight

UK forces continue to operate a fully integrated, multi-domain air defense network across the Middle East, with personnel from the Royal Navy, British Army, and Royal Air Force working in close coordination to protect UK personnel, assets, and regional partners, the Ministry of Defence reports.

The layered system combines RAF Typhoon and F-35 fighter jets conducting sustained defensive air patrols with ground-based counter-drone units and British Army Stormer air defense systems. These efforts are further reinforced by Royal Navy assets, including Wildcat and Merlin helicopters, providing additional surveillance and response capabilities.

Across the reporting period, RAF Typhoon and F-35 jets have maintained continuous defensive missions over key areas including Cyprus, Jordan, Qatar, Bahrain, and the UAE. Since the start of the conflict, UK pilots have accumulated more than 1,150 flying hours in the region.

Operational activity has also included successful counter-drone engagements. Overnight on March 29, RAF Regiment gunners neutralized seven one-way attack drones, highlighting the persistent threat from unmanned systems.

Meanwhile, Royal Navy Wildcats have continued patrol operations over the Eastern Mediterranean, supporting the broader integrated air and maritime security posture.
