Ukraine's Special Operations Forces have struck two fuel infrastructure facilities in russia's Rostov region, targeting assets that reportedly supported russian military logistics operations. The attack was carried out during the night of June 18 by the Deep Strike units of Ukraine's SOF.
According to the SOF Command, the operation targeted the Rostovnefteprodukt oil depot and a separate fuel storage base in the city of Gukovo. Ukrainian forces conducted the strike in cooperation with russian Chernaya Iskra anti-government resistance movement, which is active inside russia.

The Ukrainian military reported that several drones successfully reached their intended targets. Fires and structural damage were recorded at both facilities following the attack, indicating a successful strike against the fuel infrastructure.
The targeted sites were used for the storage, transfer, and distribution of gasoline, diesel fuel, lubricants, and other petroleum products. Such facilities play a critical role in sustaining military operations by ensuring a steady supply of fuel to combat units.
Rostov region remains one of russia's most important rear logistics hubs for operations in the south and east of Ukraine. Fuel depots and storage facilities in the region support the movement of troops, equipment, and supplies to forces deployed near the front lines.
