Multiple launch rocket systems in Ukraine won't really surprise anyone, but at the same time, it's worth paying special attention to this case - the first photo of the MLRS by Excalibur Army from the Czech Republic has appeared on the Internet. The launchers are already being used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to strike at the invaders.
This is a BM-21MT 4x4 122-mm multiple rocket launcher, which is actually an upgraded version of the Sovie-made BM-21 Grad MLRS based on the Tatra T815-7T3R2T 4x4 chassis by the Czech company.
The Czech MLRS is equipped with a Tatra V8 engine. The maximum speed is 90 km/h, off-road speed is 30 km/h. Range - 1200 km.
The vehicle has a new fire control system and a ballistic calculator. The range of the system is declared by the manufacturer to be up to 40 km, depending on the ammunition.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine also use other Czech MLRS from the Excalibur Army to eliminate the occupiers – in particular, the latest modernized Vampire RM-70 4D, the use of which became known as early as last year.
And although the RM-70 is also actually the Czech version of the Soviet BM-21, they have a number of advantages and we previously explained in detail how they are better than the BM-21 Grad created in the USSR.
