Ukraine's Defense Forces have carried out another successful deep-strike operation inside russia, with the 15th Arsenal of the Russian Navy reportedly among the targets hit

Ukrainian long-range strike drones continue to make their presence felt during russia's so-called St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), which is taking place from June 3 to 6 and has already coincided with several Ukrainian attacks. During the night of June 6, Ukraine's Defense Forces once again struck a number of targets in russia's Leningrad region.

At approximately 4:00 a.m., Leningrad Region Governor Aleksandr Drozdenko announced a drone threat alert across the region. The alert remained in effect for roughly seven hours before being lifted around 11:00 a.m.

As usual, russian authorities claimed there had been no significant damage, reporting only that drone debris had fallen in several districts and caused minor impacts. russian officials also stated that 144 Ukrainian drones had been intercepted during the attack.

At the same time, Drozdenko acknowledged that, as of 9:00 a.m., military and emergency-response personnel were still working to extinguish a fire near the settlement of Bolshaya Izhora, allegedly caused by the drone strike.

Notably, the 15th Arsenal of the russian Navy is located in that area. Videos circulating on social media appear to show smoke and secondary detonations consistent with ammunition explosions near the facility. Moreover, available satellite imagery suggests that russian forces had not even constructed protective earth berms around buildings within the arsenal.

The facility serves as a storage base for naval mines, torpedoes, and other naval munitions. According to open-source information, it also performs maintenance and repair work on certain weapon systems, disposes of ammunition, and prepares munitions for transfer to operational units. russian state registries classify the 15th Arsenal as a strategic enterprise.

The strikes against targets in russia, including those in the Leningrad region, were confirmed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. According to his statement, Ukrainian drones traveled approximately 1,000 kilometers overnight to reach enemy naval arsenals and facilities in Kronstadt. He also noted that Ukrainian long-range strike capabilities hit an oil-storage facility in russia's Krasnodar region after covering roughly 500 kilometers.

Zelenskyy emphasized that the operation was the result of coordinated efforts by Ukraine's Armed Forces, the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU), and the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.

Ukraine's Special Operations Forces also reported successful deep-strike attacks against the Kronstadt naval base. Earlier, a strike at the Kronstadt Marine Plant reportedly destroyed the russian Navy Boykiy corvette, a warship valued at approximately $400 million. According to available reports, the drone used in the attack cost more than 7,000 times less than the vessel it struck.
