This enterprise is located in the city of Chapayevsk, in the Saratov region, at a distance of more than 850 km from the border with Ukraine.
Footage of the hit of the FP-5 Flamingo cruise missile, as well as an explosion in the production area, is spreading online – geolocation data is provided by the OSINT community "KyberBoroshno".
More detailed conclusions on the results of the attack on the night of March 28 can be drawn from satellite images. It is worth noting that this is not the first time that Ukraine has used long-range weapons to strike Promsyntez.
In particular, in early April 2025, this unique plant was attacked by drones. At that time, the russians complained that the Ukrainian drones flew about one and a half thousand kilometers to the target, changing their route to complicate the work of Russian air defense systems.
After the strike in April 2025, satellite images showed a breach in the roof of one of the plant's workshops.
Previously, the russian federation boasted that Promsyntez has a total of 40 workshops and can produce more than 30 thousand tons of explosives per year.
Previously, Defense Express reported on whether the FP-5 Flamingo strike could break the russian Kalibr missile's record for combat launch range.
