On April 22, 2025, Ukrainian forces showcased the effectiveness of their anti-tank weaponry by destroying russian tank and infantry fighting vehicle using American Javelin missile systems.
Soldiers from the 18th Battalion of the 35th Marine Infantry Brigade successfully targeted russian tank moving towards Ukrainian positions while firing. After the Javelin missile struck, the tank erupted into flames, and its munitions detonated, marking the final destruction of the enemy vehicle. In a separate operation, the ATGM unit of the Magura 47th Brigade, armed with the Javelin missile systems, conducted a precise strike against russian infantry fighting vehicle, valued at around $1 million. The missile ignited the vehicle and breached its armor, highlighting the Javelin missile's effectiveness against both stationary and moving targets.
