Ukrainian forces have publicly revealed new details about the MORRIGAN strike drone, a domestically developed system designed to target russian logistics routes stretching from Mariupol to temporarily occupied Crimea. The announcement was made by the Nemesis 412th Brigade of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces, which released video footage showcasing the platform.
The emergence of MORRIGAN drone comes amid growing online speculation about a previously unidentified Ukrainian drone conducting long-range strikes against russian supply lines in the south of Ukraine. In particular, attention has focused on the R-280 Novorossiya highway, a critical artery connecting russia with temporarily occupied territories in the south of Ukraine and Crimea.

According to the brigade, MORRIGAN drone is now confirmed as the system behind at least part of these operations. The drone is described as a Ukrainian-made "strike wing" platform, developed through close cooperation between engineers and frontline operators from the Nemesis 412th Brigade.
Classified as a middle strike unmanned aerial system, MORRIGAN system is designed to operate in the enemy's operational depth. This category of drones is intended not only for tactical battlefield strikes but also for sustained pressure on logistics, command infrastructure, and supply routes beyond the immediate front line.
The Nemesis Brigade reports that MORRIGAN system has already been used multiple times in operations in Crimea, where it has reportedly struck priority targets, including elements of russian air defense and military support infrastructure.
A key focus of MORRIGAN drone's deployment is the disruption of russian logistics networks that connect Mariupol with Crimea. Ukrainian forces describe this corridor as a critical supply route for transporting personnel, ammunition, and equipment to occupied southern regions.
However, most technical specifications of MORRIGAN drone remain classified. Operational secrecy is essential to preserve the effectiveness of the system and ensure continued success in striking high-value targets across temporarily occupied territory.
