Ukrainian forces have successfully repelled a large-scale russian assault on the Zaporizhzhia front, inflicting heavy losses on enemy personnel and armored vehicles, according to the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.

Russian troops reportedly formed six assault columns totaling over 300 personnel, 40 armored vehicles, three tanks, and about ten buggies. However, the attack was thwarted before reaching the front line thanks to the coordinated efforts of the Artan active operations unit and other defense elements.

Operators of FPV drones and artillery crews from the Artan unit destroyed the first three russian infantry fighting vehicles at a distance of eight kilometers from the contact line. According to a unit commander with the callsign Titan, the rest of the convoy was eliminated as it approached Ukrainian positions.

In total, Ukrainian forces destroyed or disabled 15 enemy vehicles and neutralized around 100 russian soldiers. The successful defense was largely credited to the skill and coordination of Ukrainian troops, particularly the 128th Mountain Assault Brigade.

Footage of the operation was released by the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine. The event highlights the effectiveness of modern technologies like FPV drones when paired with professional military training, allowing Ukrainian defenders to repel a numerically superior enemy force.
