Ukrainian Special Operations Forces have carried out a precision drone strike targeting a storage site for russian operational-tactical missile systems, specifically the Iskander system, in temporarily occupied Crimea. The attack reportedly took place during the night of April 28 and was confirmed by Ukraine's SOF Command.

According to the statement, the targeted facility was located on the territory of a former missile base near the settlement of Ovrazhky, approximately 40 kilometers east of Simferopol. The site had reportedly been repurposed by russian forces to conceal and store Iskander systems used for launching strikes against Ukraine.

The significance of the location lies in its operational reach. From this position, russian missile units could rapidly launch strikes against both frontline positions and deep rear areas across Ukraine, with minimal warning time. This made the site a high-priority target within Ukraine's broader campaign to degrade russia's strike capabilities.

Ukrainian resistance elements operating in temporarily occupied territories had previously monitored activity at the site. According to Ukraine's SOF, underground resistance repeatedly documented missile launches originating from this area, indicating its active role in ongoing russian operations against Ukrainian targets.

As Defense Express previously reported, Ukrainian forces carried out a series of coordinated strikes against russian military assets across temporarily occupied territories on April 26 and during the night into April 27, targeting ammunition storage, artillery systems, and command infrastructure. The operations reflect a continued focus on degrading both the firepower and command capabilities of russian forces.
