russian forces have intensified their offensive on the Siversk front, using chemical weapons for the third consecutive week, according to Ukraine’s Rubizh Rapid Response Brigade. Amid growing drone attacks and assaults by motorcycle units, Ukrainian defenders continue to repel enemy advances with coordinated firepower

The Rapid Response Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine Rubizh has reported that russian forces have been employing chemical weapons for the third week in a row along the Siversk front.

"For the third week now, the enemy has been using chemical weapons in this sector. Unfortunately, these munitions have caused significant harm to our defenders. The toxic agents disperse extremely quickly, spreading instantly through trenches and low-lying areas," the Rubizh Brigade stated on the Telegram.

Within the brigade’s area of responsibility, russian forces have intensified offensive operations. Over the past week, enemy assault groups have launched coordinated attacks on the positions of neighboring Ukrainian units from multiple directions.

Reconnaissance has identified enemy reserves in the tactical rear, up to two full companies (up to 250 personnel), ready to support further offensive actions.

Ukrainian Defense Forces are responding with firepower delivered by drone operators, artillery, and direct small arms combat.

The enemy is actively employing motorcycle units and civilian vehicles in its assault operations along the Siversk axis. However, thanks to a well-established targeting and fire coordination system, Ukrainian defenders are successfully repelling these attacks. Assault groups are being neutralized several kilometers before reaching Ukrainian defensive lines.

russian forces have also significantly increased artillery shelling, up to 200 strikes per day, which may indicate preparations for a larger-scale assault.

Currently, units of the Rubizh Brigade are also deployed along the Pokrovsk axis.

In this sector, enemy fire directly targeting frontline positions has decreased, but there has been a sharp rise in the use of drones.

"The enemy is heavily bombarding our defensive lines with FPV drones and attempting to advance using both motorcycle units and dismounted infantry," the brigade noted.
