An unprecedented for private business owners cooperation format is established to satisfy the ammunition needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Private weapons manufacturer Ukrainian Armor has joined hands with two NATO member countries to launch mass production of 120mm mortar bombs for the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the company announced on Facebook.

The production takes place in several places in Ukraine simultaneously to make it harder for the russians to target the facilities. This distribution of assets and international cooperation enabled the manufacturer to "significantly increase the volumes of monthly production" of 120mm shells.

The numbers of ammunition delivered to the Ukrainian Army surpass thousands, the company vaguely notes. The bombs are made in full compliance with the NATO standards, with the use of modern technologies.

The 120mm mortar is one of the most widely used artillery weapons by the Ukrainian Defense Forces. Soldiers deploy it to destroy enemy equipment and manpower, launch strikes on russian firing spots and hideouts.

On a note from Defense Express, about 70% of russian casualties are inflicted by indirect fire, although this figure takes into account not only casualties from mortal strikes but gun and rocket artillery as well.

We should also point out that here the Ukrainian arms maker managed to run a unique format of cooperation with the Alliance' countries. Until now, there had been no such instances when a private company in Ukraine established "horizontal" connections with colleagues in NATO to increase the production of weapons demanded on the front line.

Previously, only the state-owned JSC Ukrainian Defense Industry (former Ukroboronprom) pioneered the new trend by launching production of 82mm and 120mm mortar ammunition, 122mm and 152mm artillery rounds, and 125mm tank shells. Some of those products have already been spotted on the frontline.

As Defense Express reported, earlier this year, Ukrainian Armor presented a new version of its Novator armored vehicle, which has a modular design supporting various payloads, even air defense systems.
