New version of the Novator armored personnel carrier has been presented by the Ukrainian Armor private company at the IDEF 2023 in Turkiye. Compared to the previous versions, this vehicle can take aboard more personnel and broadens the range of payloads it can host as combat modules.
The specifics of the new development were revealed by the manufacturer on its Facebook page.

Ukrainian Armor CEO Vladyslav Belbas announced that the company had already finished all works on the vehicle's design and switched over to producing the first prototype to take up a series of tests from the state. The new development will be presented shortly, he added.
The new version of Novator implements the same modular principle that allows to quickly change payload and configuration of the APC based on the mission requirements but with broader capabilities than in previous generations.
"From machine guns to remote-controlled weapon stations and air defense systems" can be installed on the Novator, Belbas mentioned. The company itself defines the vehicle as a "specialized armored car".
The idea to enlarge the vehicle to accommodate up to 9 crew members was prompted by the repetitious contacts of the company's specialists with the Ukrainian soldiers who use the vehicles from Ukrainian Armor on the frontline.
Earlier Defense Express reported that at the IDEF 2023 defense exhibition, which takes place on July 25-28 near Istanbul, the products of Ukrainian defense industries are displayed at the joint exhibition of the "National Association of Ukrainian Defense Industries" (NAUDI).
