During the Risk Management in Emergency Situations During Wartime forum, held under the Security 2.0 initiative, Ukrainian Armor presented three versions of the Novator: a general-purpose transport vehicle, a medical evacuation model, and an operational explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) variant.
Developing multiple mission-specific platforms on a unified chassis is a well-established practice in modern military vehicle design. This approach improves logistics, simplifies maintenance, and enables standardization across units. Other Ukrainian manufacturers have adopted similar strategies, including Practika with its Kozak-5-based family of vehicles.

The upgraded Novator 2 is a modernized multi-purpose armored vehicle built on the Ford F-550 chassis. It features a reinforced suspension system, improved mine protection, and seating for up to ten personnel. These enhancements were implemented in response to direct feedback from frontline units.
The medical evacuation variant, designated Novator 2S, is capable of transporting six wounded personnel in a seated configuration or four lying down. It is equipped with integrated electronic warfare (EW) systems and is already being delivered to Ukrainian Defense Forces alongside the standard Novator 2.

The third version, known as Novator OPM, is an operational EOD vehicle designed to support demining operations. It provides safe transport for EOD teams and specialized equipment in high-threat environments. Development of this platform began in 2023 to address urgent demands for demining transport in liberated territories.
In addition to the static display, a live demonstration at the forum showed the Novator 2S in action during a simulated casualty evacuation. Photos from the event confirm the presence of a roof-mounted EW system, reinforcing the vehicle’s role in contested environments.

Ukrainian Armor’s presentation highlights the growing potential of modular, mission-adaptable platforms for both military and civilian roles. The Novator’s flexible design positions it well for future procurement, including international export markets.
