In April of this year, it became known that Ukraine will receive Polish 120mm self-propelled mortars. In December some signs that Ukrainian military got the system emerged

The press service of the 44th separate mechanized brigade has published a number of photos, from which it appears that Ukrainian troops are already using 120mm Rak self-propelled mortars on the battlefield against the russian occupation forces. The systems were manufactured by the Polish company Huta Stalowa Wola.

"A competent mortar commander is a master sergeant, a skillful and responsible warrior, worthy of his comrades. That's why he has the call sign "Super", - comments on the photo in the brigade.

Currently, it remains unknown how many such mortars the Defense Forces of Ukraine received. Judging by the published photos, the brigade is armed with a wheeled version of the Polish Rak 120mm self-propelled mortar.

At the beginning of April this year, it became known that Ukraine and Poland agreed to supply the Defense Forces of Ukraine with three company sets of Rak mortars. It should be noted that during 2016-2021, the rate of production of these systems was 16 vehicles per year, that is, two company sets.

A company set of Rak mortars consists of exactly eight mortars, four command vehicles, three transport vehicles, two reconnaissance vehicles and one repair vehicle. That is, a complete set is 18 vehicles, respectively, three company sets are 54 vehicles, of which 24 are self-propelled mortars.

Polish Rak mortars should become a good reinforcement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
