Ukrainian border guards from the Stalevyi Kordon Detachment successfully intercepted and destroyed russian Shahed-type loitering munition over the Northern Slobozhanshchyna sector. The target was engaged and neutralized by a mobile fire group using a heavy anti-aircraft machine gun.
According to the Detachment's official statement, their forces detected and engaged the drone at an altitude of over 1,500 meters, demonstrating both effective coordination and technical skill under pressure.

The use of mobile air defense groups has become an increasingly vital tactic in Ukraine's defense against russian drone attacks. These highly maneuverable teams are capable of reacting quickly to air threats, especially in regions where fixed air defense systems may be sparse or already tasked with other objectives.
The Shahed-131/136 drones, which are produced in Iran and supplied to russia, continue to pose a significant threat to Ukrainian infrastructure and civilian areas. Their low cost and kamikaze-style attacks make them difficult targets, often requiring rapid and precise response from Ukrainian defenders.
As Defense Express previously reported, soldiers of Ukraine's 1st Bureviy Presidential Brigade have successfully destroyed North Korean Type 75 multiple launch rocket system, marking the first confirmed elimination of this specific model in the war. The strike took place just as the launcher was preparing to fire on Ukrainian defensive positions.
The operation was carried out by drone operators using a precision-guided munition dropped from a combat unmanned aerial vehicle. The timing of the strike, during the weapon's pre-launch phase, likely contributed to its complete destruction and possibly prevented a planned enemy barrage.
