The russian federation is quite actively continuing work on the construction of the Zyabrivka airfield near Gomel in Belarus. According to recent satellite images, the work is close to completion.
In particular, the creation of embankments for the placement of radar stations is noticeable, besides, according to the Belarusian Радыё Свабода, locals have noticed an increase in the number of russian military and equipment.

The arrival of the echelon at the airport's fuel and oil logistics hub was also noticed. And, considering everything, the works on the preparation of the object are close to completion.
It should be noted that the Zyabrovka airfield in Belarus is already actively used by the russian army. In particular, at the end of July, anti-aircraft missiles from the S-300/400 complexes of ground objects in the Chernihiv region were fired from it.
Also recorded was the result of a rather strange fire on the runway itself, which was spotted on a Maxar satellite image in August.
At the same time, the location of the airfield only 22 km from the border with Ukraine makes it accessible to a significant number of weapons that are in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We are talking not only about missile weapons, but even about artillery weapons, including high-precision Excalibur projectiles.
The importance of using precisely accurate weapons, if necessary, is of great importance due to the fact that the airfield is located close to residential buildings. In particular, it is 400 meters from the logistics center with the fuel base to the kindergarten-nursery. Therefore, it is not surprising that the russians chose this very object to deploy their forces.
We will remind that the russian federation is transferring to Belarus the remnants of the "elite" Taman division, in particular the 1st motorized rifle regiment.
