Ukrainian forces have carried out a new wave of coordinated strikes targeting both military and economic infrastructure across temporarily territory and deep inside russia itself. The operation, conducted overnight on May 1, was aimed at reducing the aggressor's military and industrial capacity to sustain the war.

One of the primary targets was the Tuapse oil refinery in russia's Krasnodar region. Ukrainian strikes reportedly caused explosions and a fire at the facility, which plays a role in supplying fuel to russian military logistics. The full extent of the damage is still being assessed, but disruptions at such sites can have cascading effects on fuel availability.

In a separate strike the previous day, Ukrainian forces hit the Perm oil refinery in russia's Perm region. Confirmed damage included the AVT-4 primary oil processing unit, a key component in refining crude oil. The strike triggered a fire on the plant's premises, potentially affecting its operational output and repair timelines.

Beyond energy infrastructure, Ukrainian forces also targeted critical military assets closer to the front line. The Buk-M3 surface-to-air missile system was reportedly struck near Olkhovatka in temporarily occupied Donetsk region. The destruction or disabling of such systems weakens russia's air defense network and opens opportunities for further aerial operations.

Ukrainian strikes also focused heavily on logistics and supply chains. Ammunition depots were hit near Rozdolne in Donetsk region and in the area of Rovenky in Luhansk region. Additionally, a warehouse storing materiel was struck near Melitopol in Zaporizhzhia region, further complicating russian resupply efforts in the south.

Particular attention was given to russia's growing reliance on unmanned systems. A drone storage facility was targeted near Dalne in russia's Belgorod region, while multiple UAV command and control points were struck near Huliaipole in Zaporizhzhia region, as well as in the settlements of Shevchenko and Voskresenka in Donetsk region.

Another command and observation post was reportedly hit near Kairy in Kherson region. These strikes on control nodes are significant, as they disrupt coordination and reduce the effectiveness of кussian drone operations, which have become a key element of battlefield tactics.
