In order to make it real German Chancellor should approve it

The German defense industry came up with a proposal to sell 100 Panzerhaubize 2000 self-propelled artillery guns to the Defense Forces of Ukraine. Andriy Melnyk, the Ambassador of Ukraine in Germany, spoke about it in an interview with Ukrinform.

No information about possible delivery terms as well as final price of all 100 units. Because in order to start implementing such an agreement, the German government, in particular Chancellor Olaf Scholz, must give the green light first.

At the same time, according to Andriy Melnyk, Germany has the opportunity to supply Ukraine with a much wider list of armored vehicles, even if these supplies are extended in time.

For example, Ukrainian diplomacy is still advocating a project to supply the Armed Forces of Ukraine with 100 Marder infantry fighting vehicles and 88 Leopard 1A5 tanks. However, "the German government is still unjustifiably blocking this project", Melnyk adds.
