Ukrainian drones struck the Crimea Titan chemical plant in occupied Armyansk during the night of June 13, reportedly forcing a suspension of operations at one of the most important industrial facilities in northern Crimea

The strike was announced by Major Robert Madyar Brovdi, commander of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces. According to him, the attack successfully hit the target and caused a fire at the facility.

"During the night of June 13, the Free Ukrainian Bird paid a courtesy visit to the aforementioned site. Objective control confirmed successful strikes. A fire is raging. Production has been suspended," Madyar stated.

Located on the Perekop Isthmus near the city of Armyansk, Crimea Titan was previously the largest titanium dioxide producer in Eastern Europe before russia's occupation of Crimea.

Beyond titanium dioxide production, the facility reportedly manufactures basic chemical feedstocks used in the production of gunpowder, rocket propellants, and explosives. This makes the plant an important contributor to supply chains supporting russia's defense industry.

According to Madyar, reports circulating in local Crimean social media channels claimed that as many as 23 drone strikes hit the facility. The same reports alleged that multiple production workshops were damaged and personnel were evacuated from the site.

While these claims have not been independently verified, available footage and reports indicate that a significant fire broke out following the attack.

The strike forms part of Ukraine's broader campaign against russian military-industrial infrastructure, particularly facilities involved in producing materials and components used for ammunition, missiles, and other weapons systems.

Crimea Titan is currently controlled by russian-owned structures that took over the enterprise after the occupation of Crimea. The facility remains one of the largest industrial sites on the peninsula.
