Ukrainian paratroopers rely on British-made armored vehicles to conduct daring raids and evacuations behind enemy lines

Ukrainian paratroopers from the Air Assault Forces are regularly tasked with some of the most dangerous operations on the front. These elite troops operate deep behind enemy lines, destroy fortified russian positions, and conduct daring evacuations of wounded comrades, often right under the enemy's nose.

Supporting these high-risk missions is a fleet of British-made Husky tactical support vehicles (TSVs), which have become a vital asset for Ukrainian troops operating under extreme conditions. Originally designed for the British Army, these vehicles offer a blend of mobility, protection, and adaptability that meets the demands of frontline operations in Ukraine.

This was reported on the official Telegram channel of the Khortytsia operational-strategic group of troops of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

The Husky TSV is typically configured to carry a crew of four. However, in practice, it's often pushed far beyond its intended limits. One Ukrainian driver, known by the callsign Bobr, shared an extraordinary account: in one emergency situation, he managed to extract 26 fellow soldiers using a single Husky TSV. It's a testament not only to the vehicle's resilience but also to the bravery and improvisation of Ukrainian troops under fire.

The Husky vehicle is also combat-capable, with the ability to mount heavy machine guns from various manufacturers. This feature allows the vehicle to serve both as a personnel carrier and a mobile fire support platform. Its armor provides protection against small arms fire and roadside bombs, making it suitable for fast, high-risk maneuvers in contested areas.

These armored vehicles play a key role in evacuation operations, one of the most challenging and emotionally intense tasks Ukrainian soldiers face. Extracting wounded comrades from combat zones requires speed, cover, and confidence in the vehicle's survivability. The Husky vehicle provides that edge, enabling units to preserve lives even during chaotic engagements.

For a closer look at the Husky TSV and how it's being used on the front lines by Ukrainian forces, the full story is available in a recently released video report by Army TV – Ukrainian military channel.
