russia uses KABs for terrorist attacks and is ramping up production of these weapons

The russian defense industry is ramping up production of guided aerial bombs. This year, the enemy's defense industry plans to manufacture up to 120,000 units of such weapons, including 500 new long-range aerial bombs. These are likely to be jet-powered KABs, which russians can launch at a range of 200 km.

This information was reported by Reuters, citing an unnamed representative from Ukraine's Defense Intelligence. No other details regarding the production rate of guided aerial bombs in russia were reported. At the same time, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine has not yet officially commented on these figures.

At the same time, the figure of 120,000 for this year suggests that russia is producing guided aerial bombs not only for immediate use at the front but also to build up substantial stocks.

According to Ukraine's Ministry of Defense, russian forces dropped roughly 40,000 guided aerial bombs in the first ten months of this year, exceeding last year's figures. October turned out to be a record-breaking month with more than 5,328 guided aerial bombs dropped.

Considering current trends, if russian forces increase their use during November–December, they could surpass 50,000 units by the end of the year.

It should be noted that in October this year, it became known that the russian federation began to use so-called jet-powered KABs with range of up to 200 km. Previously, we reported that russian forces are now launching at this range.

The question of whether it is possible to counter russian jet-powered KABs remains relevant, and one of the most rational approaches is a comprehensive response, including strikes on airfields and production facilities for these weapons.

Earlier, Defense Express reported on the first video of the launch of the Long Neptune missile.
