That is the first public video showing Ukrainian soldiers on the Donbas frontline firing Javelin missiles.
“All Javelin crews in the Ukrainian army have underwent training and are now prepared to perform combat tasks,” Dom cited Joint Forces Operation Commander, Lt Gen Oleksandr Pavliuk as saying.
The Dom video says Ukraine’s Armed Forces have an arsenal of around 100 Javelin launchers and up to 500 missiles.
Lt Gen Pavliuk officially confirmed for the first time in early December that Ukrainian forces fighting separatist militants in eastern Ukraine are deployed with FGM-148 Javelin missiles and launchers.
Afterwards, the U.S. ABC television channel released a video suggesting the Ukrainian FGM-148 Javelin missile units are deployed in an area outside Avdiivka, a town located close to the line of contact with Russia-backed separatist insurgents.
