On the morning of August 25, an aerial clash took place over the Zaporizhzhia region between Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter and russian Su-30 aircraft. The incident was reported by Soniashnyk. The engagement highlights the continuing intensity of air combat in the southern sector of the front.

According to the report, Ukrainian pilots demonstrated a high level of skill while countering a technically more advanced russian aircraft. Their actions resulted in the destruction of several enemy targets. While the exact number of losses is not specified, sources stress that the russian side suffered significant damage.

The pilots' blog, known for its sarcastic and ironic style, described the morning clash in colorful terms. They referred to the MiG-29 crews as "unknown MiG-ers" who caused "a scandal somewhere over Zaporizhzhia, scared off the fish, got into a brawl, and even exchanged fire with the Su-30 roosters, eventually taking out a group of occupiers with a baguette".

Behind the humor lies an important fact: Ukrainian fighter pilots continue to successfully challenge russian aviation despite technological disparities. The MiG-29, an aircraft originally designed in the Soviet era, has been modernized and remains a key element of Ukraine's air defense and strike capability.

The russian Su-30 fighter, on the other hand, is a newer multirole fighter with more advanced avionics and armament options. Nevertheless, recent engagements show that the aircraft's technical edge does not guarantee dominance when faced with experienced and resourceful Ukrainian pilots.

As Defense Express previously reported, on August 25, Ukraine's Defense Intelligence released footage of a special forces operation in temporarily occupied Crimea.

The video showcased a series of precision strikes against russian military targets, carried out by the Prymary special operations unit.
