The Ukrainian partisan movement Atesh has claimed responsibility for another sabotage operation targeting russian military logistics deep inside russian territory

According to the group, its agents destroyed a freight electric locomotive in russia's Lipetsk region that was reportedly being used to transport military cargo toward the Sumy axis.

Atesh stated that the operation targeted a railway section supporting russian military supply routes. The destroyed locomotive was allegedly involved in moving ammunition, fuel, weapons, and heavy equipment from rear logistics hubs to frontline areas.

"Disabling even a single locomotive significantly complicates frontline logistics and slows the redeployment of reserves," the movement said in a statement published on social media.

The group added that the damaged locomotive has been permanently removed from service, disrupting another segment of russia's military rail transport network.

Atesh has repeatedly focused its operations on railway infrastructure, ammunition depots, and military facilities inside occupied territories and within russia itself, aiming to undermine the logistical backbone supporting russian combat operations against Ukraine.

"We continue weakening the enemy’s capabilities and creating problems for the russian Armed Forces. Atesh operates even where the enemy believes itself secure, destroying military infrastructure from within," the movement stated.
