The Ukrainian Inguar-3 armored vehicle has a new modification – a pickup truck. It is designed for use by UAV crews who need to transport their own equipment and supplies.
According to Inguar Defense, this variant was designed specifically to fulfill the operational requirements of Lasar's Group of Ukraine's National Guard. This is one of the most effective units among drone operators, known for its impressive strikes.

The biggest difference in the new Inguar-3 is the replacement of the troop compartment with a cargo compartment. In the available footage, it is covered with a tarpaulin, but most likely it can be used open if necessary. The rest of the vehicle maintains Level 3a/b protection under STANAG 4569, a standard already proven effective.
This makes it possible to transport additional equipment and even ammunition separately from the crew. As a result, fewer personnel can be accommodated in the armored vehicle, but for UAV units, this is a sensible compromise.

A separate space for transporting equipment is necessary not only for convenience, but also for safety. In a mine explosion, boxes in the troop compartment can harm the crew, who would otherwise be protected by the vehicle.
It is also possible to place a platform or catapult for launching drones in the cargo compartment, which would significantly increase mobility. Such solutions were demonstrated even before the russian full-scale invasion.

In general, replacing larger troop compartments with cargo spaces has become common in Ukrainian armored vehicles. One example is the Gyurza-03, which differs from the Gyurza-02 mainly in its new compartment.
At the same time, the Ukrainian defense industry offers an example of a vehicle that went the opposite way—the SBA Novator. Originally a pickup truck, it was modified during the full-scale war into the Novator-2 personnel carrier and other variants. It should be noted that it takes only 30 days to create a new modification.
