Ukrainian drone operators eliminated a full set of russian rocket systems after coordinated reconnaissance

Ukrainian drone operators from the Lasar's Group have carried out a successful strike operation on the Pokrovsk axis, destroying six russian BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket systems. The loss is assessed as equivalent to an entire artillery battalion, marking a significant blow to russian firepower in the area.

Footage of the operation was released on March 19, showing precision strikes against the rocket systems. The attack highlights the increasing effectiveness of Ukrainian drone units in targeting high-value artillery assets behind the front line.

Russian forces have been actively using BM-21 Grad systems on the Pokrovsk direction to deliver sustained rocket fire against Ukrainian positions. These systems, capable of launching volleys of unguided rockets, pose a serious threat to infantry and defensive positions due to their saturation effect.

According to the Lasar's Group, the success of the operation was the result of close coordination with other Ukrainian units. Analytical work was conducted jointly with the Shchedryk Battalion, which helped identify the location of the systems.

Following this intelligence effort, reconnaissance elements confirmed the deployment area of the Grad systems within the responsibility zone of Ukraine's 7th Air Assault Corps. This enabled rapid decision-making and the timely deployment of strike drones to engage the targets.

Drone crews from the Lasar's Group were then dispatched to hunt the rocket systems. Using precision-guided strikes, they successfully destroyed all six launchers, eliminating a concentrated source of indirect fire.

The destruction of an entire Grad battalion significantly reduces the enemy's ability to conduct massed rocket strikes in the sector. Such losses can disrupt planned offensive or suppressive fire missions and ease pressure on Ukrainian defensive positions.

Ukrainian forces emphasize that the operation was carefully planned and executed, demonstrating the growing role of integrated reconnaissance and strike capabilities. By systematically targeting artillery assets, Ukrainian units continue to degrade russian offensive potential and protect frontline troops.
