In December 2024, a Ukrainian F-16 fighter pilot shot down a record number of missiles during a massive attack by russian terrorists

For the first time in history, six targets were destroyed in a single combat mission. This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force's press service on Facebook.

The Ukrainian pilot said that on the morning of December 13, when russia launched nearly 200 drones and more than 90 missiles at Ukraine, he managed to destroy six missiles in a single combat mission on an F-16 fighter jet.

The Ukrainian Air Force noted that missiles are the main target for the Ukrainian fighter jet. However, intercepting them is not an easy task for a pilot.

"According to objective control results, we have 100% confirmation that, for the first time in history, an American F-16 fighter jet shot down six cruise missiles in aerial combat, two of them using aircraft artillery. It is being done by Ukrainian!" the press service stated.

Earlier Defense Express reported about practical range of an SDB dropped from Su-27 and why HARM is a "support missile".
