​UK Ministry of Defence: British Forces Deploy Sky Sabre Unit, Activate ORCUS and Rapid Sentry Systems, Down Iranian Drones Overnight

The UK has deployed Sky Sabre system to Saudi Arabia, extended RAF Typhoon jets operations in Qatar, activated new systems in Bahrain and Kuwait, and downed multiple Iranian drones overnight

While visiting the region, the Defense Secretary has today confirmed that the UK is sending additional air defense support to Gulf partners, the UK Ministry of Defence reports.

The Sky Sabre air defense system will be deployed to Saudi Arabia, the deployment of RAF Typhoon jets in Qatar will be extended, and the UK's Lightweight Multirole Launcher is now operational in Bahrain, while the Rapid Sentry and ORCUS counter-drone systems are now in Kuwait.

RAF Regiment gunners, operating in a high-threat area, successfully downed multiple Iranian drones overnight.

UK Typhoon and F-35 jets, together with Wildcat helicopters, have continued their defensive missions overnight, including over Cyprus, Jordan, Bahrain, Qatar, and the UAE.

As Defense Express previously reported, RAF Regiment gunners operating downed multiple Iranian drones overnight, as UK air assets continued wide-ranging defensive missions across the Middle East.
