Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces have reported a successful strike against the russian Navy corvette while the vessel was undergoing repairs in Kronstadt, near St. Petersburg. The attack underscores Ukraine's growing ability to target military assets deep inside russian territory.
According to the Unmanned Systems Forces, operators from the 1st Separate Center carried out the strike on June 3, 2026. At the time of the attack, the Project 20380 corvette was located in the Veleshchinsky dry dock in Kronstadt, a major naval base serving the Baltic Fleet.

Footage released by the Ukrainian military reportedly shows the moment the vessel was hit while docked. Multiple impacts were followed by a large fire erupting aboard the ship, suggesting significant damage to the warship or equipment located on board during maintenance.
The Boykiy is one of the russian Navy's modern Project 20380 Steregushchiy-class corvettes, designed for anti-surface, anti-submarine, and air defense missions. The vessel was launched in 2011 and entered service with the Baltic Fleet in 2013.
The corvette had been placed in scheduled repairs in February 2026 following operational deployments with the russian Navy. While the full extent of the damage remains unclear, any prolonged repair work could delay the ship's return to service.
The Unmanned Systems Forces noted that the Boykiy ship had been used in operations near NATO borders and in escort missions involving vessels linked to russia's so-called shadow oil fleet. The ship also participated in other naval activities supporting russian military objectives.
