On the morning of August 28, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine published a video of the strike on the russian Buyan-M corvette of Project 21631, which carries Kalibr cruise missiles. It was located in the waters of the Sea of Azov.
This means the corvette attempted to evade Ukrainian naval drones and launch Kalibr missiles at Ukraine without facing retaliation. However, where naval drones cannot reach, aerial drones will succeed.

The Buyan-M was hit by two strike UAVs belonging to the Prymary unit and the Active Operations Department of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine. The Prymary unit struck first, hitting the corvette's radar.
The next strike was carried out by fighters from the Active Operations Department, hitting the side of the Buyan-M. While the corvette will not sink, the loss of its radar compels it to return to port for expensive repairs, taking it out of action temporarily.

It likely did not remain in the Sea of Azov after the strikes, facing the threat of further attacks. This may indicate that the planned Kalibr cruise missile attack was thwarted.
It is also worth noting that the Active Operations Department of Ukraine's Defense Intelligence, previously not known to operate such drones, also took part in the attack. This may indicate that additional units have joined the strikes on russian air defense systems in occupied Crimea.

Judging by the interface and flight patterns, the attack involved two different types of UAVs. They are likely upgraded RUBAKA and UJ-26 Bober drones, previously observed attacking Russian equipment in occupied Crimea, skillfully avoiding the operations of Pantsir-S1 air defenses.
As for the Buyan-M, the russian Black Sea Fleet has three corvettes of this type. Each of them is capable of carrying up to eight Kalibr cruise missiles and is armed with a 100 mm A-190 gun, two 14.5 mm machine guns, and three 7.62 mm PKM machine guns.

The corvette is equipped with an AK-630M-2 Duet anti-aircraft cannon. However, it failed to repel the attack by Ukrainian drones.
