Thanks to multipurpose motorboats developed by the Ukrainian company Gulfstream, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive a reliable means of transportation and support for amphibious assault operations

Gulfstream, a member of NAUDI, has successfully tested its multipurpose high-density polyethylene motorboats. Having now passed codification, these boats are ready to take on a wide range of combat missions for the Defense Forces.

The models tested are the GS5200TSB and GS6400TSB series, described by the manufacturer as "unsinkable." This feature is achieved by filling the hull volume below deck with waterproof spheres, which ensures buoyancy even under extreme conditions. As a result, the boats can effectively perform transport, medical evacuation, and amphibious assault tasks across a broad temperature range.

Such craft are particularly relevant for Ukraine's Defense Forces, as the front line runs along the Dnipro River and the Black Sea. This creates a pressing need for fast and durable boats capable of operating in combat conditions.

To meet these demands, the boats are built with a reinforced hull resistant to collisions with piers, sharp rocks, or other obstacles. Gulfstream also emphasizes the boats' maintainability, radio transparency, and combat durability. The company notes that their service life is practically unlimited, with maintenance limited mainly to proper storage. The hull is resistant to oxygen, water, salts, oils, and fuels, further enhancing its longevity.

These qualities make the boats a valuable addition to Ukraine's waterborne capabilities, with potential applications for both the Marine Corps and various special operations units.

The demonstration and trials were carried out with the participation of 16 structures and units of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Ministry of Defense, representatives of NAUDI, as well as civilian and humanitarian organizations. The latter's involvement is not surprising given Gulfstream's broader activities.

Currently, the company also produces motorboats for the civilian market under the Proper Boats brand, offering a diverse product line. This suggests Gulfstream has sufficient manufacturing capacity to meet the needs of Ukraine's Defense Forces.
