Exercise "Northern Storm" – units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, together with the National Guard of Ukraine and the State Border Service of Ukraine, practiced the protection of the state border with Belarus.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, such trainings are regular. They are essential for setting up and maintaining of combat capability of the Defense Forces.

As we can see on the photos, the trainings were aimed at ambushing, slowing down the movement of enemy troops and establishing the work of fireteams. All the processes were controlled by Serhiy Nayev, the commander of the Joint Forces the Armed Forces of Ukraine and deputy head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Victor Nikolyuk, the commander of the Operational Command North.
It should be recalled, according to Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, russia plans to transfer 20 thousands mobilized men to Belarus. There is 120 thousands of russians and 100 thousands of mobilized Belarusians, Belarusian opposition sources state.
