Ukrainian forces carried out a coordinated series of strikes overnight on April 8, targeting critical russian military infrastructure across temporarily occupied Crimea and eastern Ukraine. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the operation focused on degrading logistics, supply chains, and key enablers of russian combat operations.
Among the primary targets were oil depots in Feodosia and Hvardiiske in temporarily occupied Crimea. Both sites are reportedly used by russian forces to store fuel and lubricants essential for sustaining frontline operations. A fire was confirmed at the facility in Feodosia, indicating successful impact and likely damage to stored resources.

The strikes extended beyond Crimea, hitting multiple logistics hubs in temporarily occupied territories. Ukrainian forces delivered fire damage to material and technical supply depots in the areas of Svitle in Zaporizhzhia region, Sukhodilsk in Luhansk region, and Velyka Novosilka in Donetsk region. These locations serve as important nodes for the storage and redistribution of equipment and supplies to russian units.
In addition, Ukrainian forces targeted a field artillery ammunition depot near Yalta in Donetsk region, as well as a UAV storage facility near Stepne in the same area. Another ammunition depot was struck near Uralo-Kavkaz in Luhansk region, further disrupting russian stockpiles and battlefield sustainment capacity.
Beyond logistics and ammunition, Ukrainian strikes also focused on more specialized military assets. A radio-electronic intelligence station near Novoozerne in Crimea was reportedly hit, potentially impacting russia's ability to gather signals intelligence and monitor Ukrainian operations.
Another notable target was a positional area of the Bastion coastal missile system near Sofiivka in Crimea. This system is designed to control maritime access and project anti-ship capabilities in the Black Sea, making it a strategically significant asset for russian forces.
The full extent of russian losses is still being assessed, but the scale and geographic spread of the strikes suggest a deliberate effort to systematically weaken the enemy's operational depth. By targeting fuel, ammunition, UAV infrastructure, and electronic warfare systems, Ukraine is continuing to erode the foundations of russia's offensive and defensive capabilities.
The General Staff emphasized that such operations will persist as part of a broader strategy aimed at reducing the combat potential of russian forces. The stated objective remains unchanged: to degrade the occupying army's ability to wage war until the complete cessation of russian aggression against Ukraine.
