Two strike drones damaged the Kalibr-capable Admiral Makarov frigate in Novorossiysk, while simultaneous strikes targeted the Sheskharis terminal and Grushovaya oil base

Ukrainian forces have struck a high-value naval target in russia's rear, with the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirming damage to russian frigate in the port of Novorossiysk, a key Black Sea logistics hub.

According to the official statement, the vessel targeted was the Project 11356R Burevestnik-class frigate, identified as the Admiral Makarov. The ship is a known carrier of Kalibr cruise missiles, making it a strategically significant asset for russia's long-range strike capabilities.

The General Staff reported that two strike drones successfully hit the frigate. While the full extent of the damage is still being assessed, confirmed impacts suggest a potentially serious degradation of the ship's operational readiness.

In parallel with the naval strike, Ukrainian forces targeted critical energy infrastructure in the same region. The Sheskharis oil terminal sustained damage to key port infrastructure, including multiple loading berths and associated pipeline systems used for oil distribution and shipment.

The attack also extended to the Grushovaya oil transshipment base in russia's Krasnodar region. Ukrainian officials confirmed that three large storage reservoirs were hit, further disrupting the logistical chain supporting the Sheskharis terminal and regional oil exports.

Together, these strikes highlight a coordinated effort to combine military and economic targeting. By hitting both a missile-capable warship and the infrastructure that supports russia's energy exports, Ukraine is increasing pressure on Moscow's ability to sustain both its war effort and revenue streams.
