The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, has also not yet made any comments regarding these personnel decisions, as well as future appointments

During the session on September 18, 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine made a decision to terminate the employment of nearly all Deputy Ministers of Defense of Ukraine.

This includes Volodymyr Havrylov, Rostyslav Zamlynskii, Hanna Maliar, Denys Sharapov, Andriy Shevchenko (who held the position of Deputy Minister for European Integration), Vitaliy Deynega (who held the position of Deputy Minister for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalization), and also the State Secretary of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kostiantyn Vashchenko, as detailed by the Government Portal in its announcement.

Moreover, as indicated in the aforementioned list, the position of First Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, held by Lieutenant General Oleksandr Pavliuk, remains unchanged.

The reasons behind such significant personnel changes in the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine have not been detailed by the Cabinet of Ministers or other official spokespersons at this time. The newly appointed Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, has also not yet made any comments regarding these personnel decisions, as well as future appointments.
