The russian Ministry of Defense presents it as “powerful armament” with “unique capabilities”

The russian Army has already distinguished itself with a completely new level of artisanal combat vehicles, starting from wooden armor, car rims, parts of destroyed armored vehicles tied with wires to nets with stones. The russians has already presented the 2M-3 ship anti-aircraft gun on the MT-LB armored vehicle and ATS-59G artillery tractor.

This time russians installed the S-60 anti-aircraft gun on the MT-LB vehicle.

But it should be noted that its installation on the MT-LB armored fighting vehicle (AFV) is generally logical as russians began to systematically install it on the Ural trucks.

This system is not designed for air targets destruction, but rather serve as a ersatz self-propelled artillery unit or assault gun, which is related to the capabilities of the 57mm anti-aircraft system to fire at a range of 6 km (according to the specifications).

It should be noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine also actively use the S-60 in such a role and, unfortunately, russians have absorbed this experience. At the same time, the use of such systems for Ukraine is quite understandable and no one expects this decision to be tremendously effective, understanding all the risks. But the russian Ministry of Defense presents it as “powerful armament” with “unique capabilities”.
