Ukrainian border guard drone operators have carried out a series of precision strikes against russian military assets. The operation was conducted by the Prime strike drone company of the 5th Border Detachment, with footage of the engagement released by Ukraine's State Border Guard Service on April 26.
According to the report, the pilots identified and successfully targeted a range of high-value assets, including one BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket system, one tracked MT-LB vehicle, and two D-30 towed howitzers. These systems play a critical role in russian fire support, and their destruction directly impacts the enemy's ability to sustain artillery pressure on Ukrainian positions.

In addition to heavy weapons, the drone unit struck a military truck and a communications and electronic warfare system. The targeting of such assets suggests a deliberate effort to disrupt not only russian firepower but also its command, control, and coordination capabilities. Electronic warfare systems, in particular, are key to countering Ukrainian drones, making their elimination tactically significant.
The operation also focused on countering russian drone activity. Ukrainian operators identified and destroyed a launch site used for enemy unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as a fortified shelter.
Beyond equipment losses, the report confirms that russian personnel were also hit during the strikes.
As Defense Express previously reported, discovered in Dnipropetrovsk region, russian BREM-D system will be repurposed for Ukrainian service, strengthening battlefield repair and evacuation capabilities.
