Operators of the 1st Separate Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces, in coordination with the Deep Strike Center, have struck high-priority russian air defense systems worth an estimated over $120 million in less than a week. The operation targeted key components of russia's layered air defense network on two critical axes of the front.
On the Donetsk direction, Ukrainian forces hit the S-300VM system, while on the Kherson axis they struck the Tor surface-to-air missile system. Both platforms are integral elements of russia's multi-layered air defense architecture, designed to protect troops, logistics hubs, and critical infrastructure from aerial threats.

The S-300VM is a long-range system capable of engaging aircraft, cruise missiles, and certain ballistic targets. Depending on configuration, a single system can be valued at over $120 million. Its loss represents not only a significant financial setback but also a substantial reduction in long-range air defense coverage in the affected sector.
Tor system, by contrast, provides short- to medium-range protection against aircraft, helicopters, drones, and precision-guided munitions. With an estimated cost of $25-30 million per combat vehicle, it plays a crucial role in shielding maneuver units and high-value assets from low-altitude threats.
Striking these systems is particularly challenging. Both systems are designed for high survivability: they frequently relocate, operate under radio silence, employ camouflage, and use prepared engineering shelters. Detecting and engaging them requires prolonged surveillance, intelligence fusion, and precise coordination between reconnaissance and strike elements.
As Defense Express previously reported, specialists of the Prymary unit, operating under the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, continue to systematically dismantle russian defenses in temporarily occupied Crimea.
Footage released by the agency highlights a series of precision strikes carried out over the past week against high-value military assets.
