The Atesh guerrilla movement emphasized that these practices are part of a broader pattern of criminal behavior by the russian occupiers, further escalating the dangers faced by the local population in occupied areas

The Atesh has reported on Telegram that the russian command in the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk region has ordered the use of civilian vehicles for military purposes.

According to an agent within the russian Armed Forces, artillery units were instructed to transport ammunition using civilian cars, trailers, or minibuses, with a maximum of 10 shells per vehicle. The order also explicitly forbids wearing military uniforms or insignia, requiring soldiers to disguise themselves as local residents.

“These actions constitute a blatant violation of the Geneva Convention and international rules of warfare,” the guerrilla movement stated. “This is yet another crime committed by the occupying russian forces. Such methods not only put civilian lives at grave risk but are also used as provocations to falsely accuse the Ukrainian Defense Forces.”
