The Defense Forces of Ukraine destroyed two 2s9 Nona-S self-propelled and air-droppable 120 mm mortars in Zaporizhzhia sector

This was reported by the command of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.

Ukrainian warriors successfully conducted reconnaissance in Zaporizhzhia sector. Ukraine`s SOF`s operators discovered two russian self-propelled mortars.

Due to the gained information, a rocket artillery unit of the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck directly at the defined targets.

As a result of the cooperation of the two Ukrainian units, both self-propelled artillery guns of russian occupiers were destroyed.

The 2s9 Nona-S self-propelled and air-droppable mortar is used on the battlefield for fire support of airborne troops. The 2S9 utilizes a 120 mm 2A51 mortar with a 1.8-meter-long barrel.

Earlier Defense Express reported that the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine had disrupted russian inspection with attack.
