The territory of temporarily occupied Crimea is witnessing a growing confrontation between the occupying contingent and the pro-Ukrainian civilian population. Systematic attacks on military facilities using Molotov cocktails (bottles with a flammable mixture) have become systematic. These attacks are largely organized and executed by civilians who support Ukraine, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine reports.
In response, personnel of the Armed Forces of the russian federation have been placed on high alert to counter such attacks. They are closely monitoring “suspicious persons” who might be involved in similar incidents. The use of physical force and weapons is authorized, leading to mass detentions and arrests.

Alarming reports have emerged about citizens who have refused to obtain russian citizenship being labeled as “missing persons” after their arrests. Those who remain free often face severe consequences, including administrative punishments, hefty fines and harassment. Many have been dismissed from their jobs and had their property and businesses confiscated.
It is evident that the majority of those detained and arrested are representatives of the Crimean Tatar people. Among the detained individuals are prominent figures such as Nariman Dzhelal, Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People; Tymur Ibrahimov, a journalist and member of the Crimean Solidarity public association; and Rustem Seitmemetov, a well-known public figure.
